HUNGARY
A tribute to Tibor Kaján,
perhaps the most accomplished and respected Hungarian cartoonist alive
Budapest, Hungary, August 1, 2002 - A very interesting book was recently published in the Hungarian
Capital. A little bit of literature and history, a little bit of interview
and biography, and lots of cartoons. György Moldova, one of
a handful of legendary Hungarian writers wrote a book about Tibor Kaján,
the doyen of Hungarian cartoonists and caricaturists. Kaján, whose
original name was Kalász, picked up the pseudonym "Kaján,"
meaning sardonic, at the beginning of his career. On the right is
the back and front covers of the book.
