Wolfgang Ammer Austrian Desk Wolfgang Ammer was born 1953 in Steyr, Austria. After art studies in Melbourne and Vienna he started working for several magazines and newspapers as a cartoonist and illustrator. Among the publications are the Asahi Evening News, Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, Far Eastern Economic Review, Miami Herald, International Herald Tribune, Isvestia, Le Soir, Liberation, Newsweek, The European, The Times, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, The Washington Post, The Citizen Ottawa, The Gazette Montreal, World Press Review, Wiener Zeitung, and New York Newsday. His work was exhibited in Brussels (Belgium), Lille (France), Köln (Germany), Guadalajara (Mexico), Tokyo (Japan), Boca Raton and Hartford (USA), Linz, Salzburg, and Vienna (Austria).
